NOVÁ DRÁMA/NEW DRAMA
12. – 17. May 2014

Is ten years too little or enough to look back and enjoy the first feeling of satisfaction? There is mostly positive energy and a determination to keep on supporting new drama, to bring up new themes, to monitor European trends and to raise awareness about Slovak theatre and drama.

„This year we could find and follow an interesting dramaturgical trail that could have a following motto: ´message about the state of the world´ or ´controversy with the world´(viewing problems of present and/or past that always interferes). “

Diana Laciaková: Nová dráma/New drama 2014 In Javisko, roč. 46, č. 2, s. 30-33 (20.08.2014)

„New Slovak and foreign plays viewing actual social or personal events or looking at white spots in our history. This all together brings an interesting picture about the world. Two main themes stood out in this year´s New Drama – refreshing memories about the past and escaping the future. Strange combination, isn´t it?“
